The School Reopening
The school reopened after the summer vacation on 1st June 2015. The students were welcomed with Chenda melam [indigenous drums performance]. The students were in festive mood. Later, the Pravenolsava meeting was held at the school hall which was presided over by the PTA president Mr. KM Nasser. School manager Mr. TJ John inaugurated the meeting and Smt. Sheela Jubili T [Headmistress] welcomed everyone to the new school in the new academic year. Mr. KM Nasser received all new comers to the school by presenting them bouquets. Mr. Sunil Francis [senior assistant], Jaison Bellarmine [staff secretary], etc. felicitated.

Nature day celebrations
The nature day was enthusiastically observed in the school. The chief guest of the day was Mr. Madhavapanickar, Rtd. Co-Manager, operative bank. Mr. Madhavapanickar is a nature activist and a model to all around him in planting and preserving trees. In the meeting, Smt. Mary T, assistant teacher, welcomed all to the programme. Mr. Madhava panickar in his inaugural address reminded the students and teachers about the drastically decreasing number of trees in our state and stated the importance of planting new trees. The children sang songs that emphasized the need of preserving the nature. Kumari Fathima VU spoke on the role of students in preserving our nature. Smt. Jiji Varghese, assistant teacher, conducted a quiz programme in connection with the nature day. Smt. Sheela Jubili T, HM, delivered the vote of thanks.

Later, Mr. Madhavapanickar inaugurated the planting of trees by planting a Mahagony sapling. Then the students, assisted by their teachers, planted different tree saplings. Some of the students took the shoots to their home to plant it there. Also, four of our students namely Kumari Ridhamol KN, Master Ajzar A, Kumari Sreelakshmi and Master Athulkrishna were recognized in a programme conducted at Fedral Bank officers’ hall in Aluva for their efforts to plant and take care of the plants which were given to them last year.
